Flying Tigers 92 is a family of four Scouting units serving youth from kindergarten through age 20. Whether your child is just starting out in Cub Scouts or ready for high adventure with Venturing, there's a place for them here — and a community of leaders, mentors, and friends to grow with along the way.
Scouting builds character, leadership, citizenship, and personal fitness through real-world adventures: camping, hiking, service projects, merit badges, pinewood derbies, and so much more. And it's fun — that's the part our Scouts always mention first.

Family-style Scouting for our youngest members. Pinewood derbies, day camp, campouts with mom or dad, and weekly den meetings full of crafts, games, and badges.

Young women lead the way — planning campouts, earning merit badges, and pursuing the trail to Eagle Scout in a girls-led troop with strong adult mentorship.

A youth-led troop with a long tradition of producing Eagle Scouts. Backpacking, high adventure, leadership training, and lifelong friendships.

High adventure for older teens — rock climbing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, and shooting sports, planned and led by the youth themselves.

A week of summer camp every year — the highlight of the Scouting year for most of our youth.
Parents are always welcome — and in Cub Scouts, family participation is the heart of the program.

We'll point you to the ScoutShop, where you can get the uniform, handbook, and gear for your Scout's age and unit. Or if you'd like, we can connect you with group members who have a wide selection of hand-me-downs.

Each unit has its own weekly meeting schedule. Use the contact form to ask about a specific unit and we'll send you current meeting times and location.
We work hard to keep Scouting affordable. Our costs are split into two pieces: the national registration fee and our local unit dues (which cover supplies, awards, and programs). To help families manage these expenses, we also run some optional fundraising events during the year.
Not at all. Many of our Scouts (and parents!) are brand new to Scouting. Our leaders and experienced families will help you get oriented.
Scouting America welcomes youth and families of all faiths. The Scout Oath includes a "duty to God," which each Scout and family interprets according to their own beliefs and tradition. Flying Tigers 92 is not affiliated with any single denomination.
Yes — Scouts can join any time of year. The fall is our biggest recruiting season, but new Scouts are welcome whenever they're ready.
Cub Scouts is a family program — a parent or guardian attends meetings and campouts with their Scout. In our troops and crew, the youth lead themselves with adult mentorship; parents are encouraged to help with transportation, fundraising, and committee work as they're able.
We always need adult volunteers — as den leaders, committee members, merit badge counselors, drivers, and more. All adult volunteers complete Scouting America's Youth Protection Training and a background check.
